High Commissioner of Pakistan visited APU, Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia


“High Commissioner of Pakistan visited Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia”

High Commissioner of Pakistan to Malaysia, H.E. Mr Shahid M. G. Kiani met Datuk Dr Parmjit Singh, the Founder and CEO of APIIT Education Group Malaysia during his visit to Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, recently. It was marked as the as the first visit by H. E. to any educational institution in Malaysia since he took charge of his office on 6th March 2013.

High Commissioner was accompanied by his colleague Mr Nadeem Ashraf, the Community Welfare Attache. The higher executive management of APU welcomed them warmheartedly. During the meeting, His Excellency was briefed about the outstanding performance of Pakistani students in both academics and extracurricular activities.

The meeting was followed by High Commissioner’s address to Pakistani students and APU faculty members. In his address, he highlighted the role of students studying at APU in the fields of Engineering, Management, Media, Accounting, Technology, Software, Multimedia and Services. He also mentioned the responsibilities of the youth of Pakistan. His motivational talk made the students realize how important education is to compete in this challenging era. His advice to all Pakistani students as well as faculty members was to keep doing the good work to improve the country’s image.

High Commissioner H.E. Mr Shahid M. G. Kiani thanked the students for inviting him to the campus and appreciated the efforts made by the management to provide excellent facilities to the students. The High Commissioner is very much keen to get engaged and visit all educational institutions in Malaysia where a considerable number of Pakistani students/faculty members are studying and contributing.

Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation has a significant number of Pakistani students persuing their higher education at the Malaysia Campus. They have been helping out the High Commission of Pakistan over the past few years in every event as representatives of their country abroad. Pakistani Students’ Community of almost 250 members at APU have the excellent advantage of having exposure to different cultures because of the presence of students from over 100 countries. It is considered as one of the leading learning hubs for Engineering, Information Technology and Business studies in Malaysia.
